WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED.

CostumeZone.com ® primarily collects three types of information that is explicitly provided by its customers: Personally Identifiable and Contact Information, Order Information and Survey Information. Each of these types of information must be volunteered by the visitor to the site. In some instances, information is required in order to complete the requested task. (For Example, an e-mail address would be required for a receipt and a shipping address is required to receive the product, etc.)
Personally Identifiable and Contact Information: When you place an order at CostumeZone.com ® or contact CostumeZone.com ®, we ask that you provide basic identifying information such as your name, physical address, phone number, e-mail address, credit card information and order information. This basic information is necessary in order to positively identify an individual customer and to confirm that we are communicating with, charging the credit card of and shipping the order to proper individual.
Our order form also requests that a customer submit his/her approximate age. In accordance with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), this information is needed to protect both CostumeZone.com ® and the individual user. Order Information: The primary purpose of this site is to offer a secure shopping site for one to view and purchase various seasonal costumes, masks make up, wigs, hats, accessories, decorations and supporting products. To make this possible, the customer must make certain selections of merchandise. This information, while not shared with individuals or companies with whom we do not have contractual relationships that assist us in filling your order, is transmitted by e-mail over an unsecure connection.
Your credit card information is, however, always transmitted over a secure connection and we provide our highest level of security to safeguard this information.

Survey Information: If you wish, you may complete the survey, which includes questions of a demographic nature. For example, how did you find us or what did you like about our service. The information requested is basic information used to determine the demographic makeup of our visitors, and their preferences, such that we may provide better customer service. Whether you provide us with this information or not is strictly optional. This information is not required for access to the features provided within CostumeZone.com ® site. We request this information so that our sponsors and we may better identify our target market and thus do a better job of providing you with the products and services you want.
CostumeZone.com ® collects very little information other than what is explicitly provided by its users. We do not collect information from your computer other than what is contained within the encrypted cookie installed on your machine by our server. We do, however, maintain logs of certain activity on our site. In addition, we log the user ID, time and subject matter of all database searches. Information on community data searches is useful for us to determine what topics are most interesting to our customers.

WHAT COSTUMEZONE.COM ® DOES WITH THE INFORMATION THAT IT COLLECTS.

CostumeZone.com ®'s site and data is hosted by GoECart.com, a service of MachroTech, an eCommerce Consulting and Offshore Software Development company. GoECart.com provides ecommerce shopping cart software, web site design, ecommerce website development and storefront hosting services to clients across North America and abroad. The information you submit with CostumeZone.com ® is stored their servers. We have undertaken reasonable precautions to protect the data and the servers from tampering, theft and other damage. The information is backed up daily to servers housed at a separate location.
The order information, however, goes through a secure server and is then encrypted for your security. This is further explained in our Credit Card Policies. This order information that is sent through a separate secure server located at Impulse Software, Inc. They are under contract to provide a secure and encrypted relay of order information into electronic mail, which is unencrypted at CostumeZone.com ®.
